Enrico Casarosa’s La Luna

Posted on Monday 6 August 2012

One of my best friends Enrico Casarosa directed his first short film La Luna which earned him an Oscar nomination this past year. I was the first guy to do some artwork to help him with some visual development for La Luna. I was supposed to stay through the project to oversee the look of the film till the end but unfortunately not long after, I was pulled onto a feature film production which always has a priority.

It was still an incredible experience to be able to work with my friend of 12 plus years even for a short stint.  Enrico will certainly become a great feature film director and hopefully I get to work with him again when his time comes at Pixar or some where else.

Really loved this short when I saw it, and love the development sketches, are these gouache or all digital? Either way, great stuff.
