Wrapping Up!

Posted on Sunday 29 March 2009

I’m quite late on this assignment but I’m almost done with my first children’s book. I have done a few children’s book pitches in the past but this is the first book to be published.

This has been really hard because I have gotten really busy at work and have been working late at work. But this has been so much fun and have been such an educational process.

Now I have even more respect for my favorites kid’s book illustrators like Rebecca Dautremer and Shaun Tan.
Compared to their books, mine is like a joke. But they continue to inspire me and set such a high standard for me to strive for.

Quite lovely. Hopefully, US booksellers can carry it. I will make sure that I will an extra copy for my nephew and nieces who are taking Japanese class. Also, the portrait painting in the background is also very beautiful.

    Hi Dice,
I’ve just discovered your work and I really enjoy your images.
I was so please to see you writing about Dautremer and Shaun Tan: they are some of my favourite artists too when it comes to kids/illustration books.

    Cheers
