Out of Picture 2 Gallery Show in Paris!

Posted on Saturday 29 August 2009

Our indy comic anthology Out of Picture had a wonderful gallery outing at Gallarie Arludik in Paris a few years ago which was pretty successful. Somehow, French people reacted more to our book than here in the U.S. maybe because our book is not in so much of a conventional comic format.
Arludik Gallery is a fantastic gallery and the owners JJ and Diane are just wonderful art lovers. They are the ones behind the famous Miyazaki/Moebius Show in Paris about 5 years ago.

Here it is, our second book, and in my humble opinion, a better book, Out of Picture 2 is having a gallery show in Paris opening next week!
If you are near Paris, come on by to meet the crew! Lots of us OOP artists are going to be there at the opening!

Opening is

This coming Thursday, the September 3rd from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.
Gallerie Arludik
12-14 Rue Saint Louis en L’lie 75004 Paris France

These are a selection of a bunch of sketches made for the book. Since the final product is digital, most of the show consists of sketches at the reasonable prices! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey dice, these are really nice. I wish i could see some stages of the digital color, but i’m an avid lover of actual sketches. Hope the show went great (I’m sure it did), and i wish i could have been there. Can’t wait to see more.

It’s great that Out of Picture is doing well over seas, too bad American’s aren’t finding their way to it as easily. The French, from what I’ve seen, know their stuff. It seems like I am constantly coming across wonderful French artists through their blogs. Well I have thoroughly enjoyed both of the Out of Picture books and would love to see another if that day comes. They feature one aw inspiring artist after the next. Thanks for all your efforts in making such quality pieces of work.

Those sketches are priceless! I love the expressions. As always your work is marvelous, thanks for sharing. :]
