Sculpture of Wootie

Posted on Tuesday 19 December 2006

Our sculpting phenom at Blue Sky, Alena Wooten. sculpted one of my characters!
Wootie is the symbolic character of the OOP comic. It may look simple and easy but this kind of symetrical shape is not easy to sculpt at all. Alena did an amazing job! In exchange for her amazing master piece, I owe her a painting….gulp..

what a xmas gift!

Beautiful. I love your paintings but the sculpture is really nicely done. Saw her site too. Thanks for sharing her website. Absolutely worth checking out.

One day, it will be a prize for Artistic recognition in some Illustration contest, like an Oscar. You should post it on Out of 😉 A nice gift for xmas anyway !

I am a big fan of Out of Picture comics. It was one of the best graphic novels I have ever seen. I also have seen Alena Wooten’s work at the society of illustrators show a few weeks ago. I didn’t know you worked at Blue Sky with her.
    keep up the good work!
