Gallery Shows Coming Up!

Posted on Friday 30 April 2010

Hello everyone.
I have been inactive in my blog for a little bit due to family situations.
We all experience what in the end comes down to be called “life,” and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it except for letting it be. But often, these “life” experiences can give us courage, strength, and a purpose to life.

Lots of things, in the meantime, have been happening back in the reality side. The movie Toy Story 3 I worked on in the past 3 years is done Yesterday. I have not seen the final version of the movie so I’m curious how well it turned out.
The art of TS3 should be coming out in a week or so. The book came out really nice. Especially the cover! (heh heh, just kidding..)

And finally, I have a few gallery shows coming up. One is this show I’m doing with great Lou Romano, and Soosa Kim. I’ll have 20 or so original oil paintings and acrylic sketches. It’s at this humble gallery called Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. Hope you can drop by at the opening on 5/21. I think it’ll be a fun show.

The other show will be in Paris in July. That one will be my own show. Gulp….

Anyhow, I’ll write more about these shows.
I have so much to do before the show…it’s not even funny…

Great stuff, Dice! I don’t even know how you find the time for all this. You are a machine!

My friend. It has been a long time. I will be there to see your artwork. Sonoma Plein Air will be on the following day so it will be checking out Bill C latest offering.

    Dani,

Wow, totally blown away as usual by your work Dice!

I can relate at the moment with “reality” and the things that life throws at us we have no control over. Thus resulting in a time of quietly waiting for everything to do it’s course. I wish all the best to you, your family, and many sales in your upcoming shows.

    Hi Dice,
I hope you’re coping with with everything fine now. The cover of TS3 is indeed beautiful! I stared at the Bear’s light and shadow for a quite while now (and other characters and elements too).. it’s just too good!!

Look forward to seeing your gallery show (via the internet hehe). All the best with everything!

    Regards,
    Charles

Brushwork is poetry. I wish I knew how to define that beauty. You say so much with seemingly so little.

Whoops, I forgot to subscribe or check back on comments here, but then saw your latest blog post on Soosa.

Yes, I’m in my third week at Google! Speaking of which, I’m trying to get a couple fellow Doodlers to come out and see the show this Friday. Hopefully they’ll make it! I’ll see ya there in any case.
