reformatting Mac!

Posted on Friday 19 January 2007

I was planning to buy a new Mac pro but heard a rumor that the super fast one is coming out pretty soon and I shuold wait.
I have been working on my powerbook in the past 2 years and so SLOW now! I thought it was fast when I got it but how could 2 years slow down this expensive piece of toy??? So I wiped out the harddrive and reformatted it as my tech friend Vincent told me.
But man, I hope that new Mac pro thing is coming out soon~~~!! (anyone know??)

random mini comic from my sketchbook…

    Hi again Dice,
nice image as usual πŸ˜€ I’m not sure when the latest MAc book pro will come up.. but one thing for sure.. I’m using Mac book pro right now and it runs Photoshop and Illustrator reaaallly slow – since it still runs on emulation (it’s my company’s one – I’m working in software design place btw – really want to break into animation/game industry but haven’t get the chance yet). I think it’s better for you to wait until Photoshop CS3 come out and then buy the machine. I guess the new mac book pro will come out then too.

Also, I’m sorry to hear about your dad, I hope he’ll fully recover soon. And thanks for checking my blog! πŸ˜€

    Take Care,
    Charles

I’ve been wanting to get a laptop for the last few years! Every time I go to a cafe and I see people working on theirs I get jealous. If you get a new one let me know how it works out, I will wait till you test it. πŸ™‚

charles—thank you for your info on CS3 and new mac! I’ll try my best even though my laptop is acting soooo slowwwww. Does anyone know what I can do to improve the speed of my powerbook? It used to be a lot faster, I swear!

Marilyn—hmmm……you are RIGHT! I’ll be youyr ginniepig! πŸ™‚

Ben—thank you.. I’m focusing on my comic right now but I”ll be posting more! Stay tuned!

Dice listen to Charles, and hold in there.
I also have the New Mac book pro – its a disaster. Really not worth it until CS3.
By the way if you do get a new one you may consider this. I don’t have one so I cannot vouch for it but it looks cool πŸ™‚

i think u better wait…although my powerbook is still working fine…(I used an external HD to free up some space and help speed up when i’m painting) —I’m sure the next macbook pro will have lots of power!

    Hi Master Dice !
I’m currently writing this note on my Mac Book Pro. I have it since last october and I am happy with it (a problem with mother board last december but fixed with the applecare…anyway)
The only problem with adobe software is officially because of the universal binary system, this is why it’s so slow using the current photoshop version. The current system has to translate
the code for CS2. It won’t be the case anymore with CS3 and we should feel the difference by being faster…normally…Mike is a Mac addicted, I am pretty sure He has something to say about it πŸ˜‰

About the mac, it would be good idea to wait for leopard OS (suposed to be release in very short time-something between feb – april-:)
