This Thursday’s Lecture at Oakland Musem

Posted on Monday 1 November 2010

More info about this thursday’s lecture on Toy Story 3 colorscript.
I received so many emails about this and yes, I found out that it’s is a member’s only event! Yikes!!
But maybe it’s worth it since they are having many of the Pixar artists giving lectures which is rare!

Oakland Museum Members Only Talk
“Thinking Behind Colorscript”
November 4th Thursday 630 pm – 7:30

hope to see you there!

My wife and I went to Big Sur this weekend for our anniversary and I painted her outdoor. The sun went down about an hour after I started the painting so this ended up being a quick painting. :p

Wow! Very nicely handled. I love how delicate it feels even though it was done relatively quickly.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the lecture tonight! I was especially inspired to hear your suggestion to study light and color through painting from life. I’m super motivated now, and if you ever end up teaching a class, I would love to take it!

This is incredible. You’re seriously, an amazing artist! I’m a highschool student from Sacramento, I was trying to find an e-mail or some way to personally contact you, but this is all I found. Anyways, I’m in the process of doing a senior project and I have an important question to ask you. Is there any way to contact you via e-mail?

Hi, Dice! I love your painting style. It’s so expressive, and your colors are always spot on. I’m a huge fan of all of your work, especially after reading the art of Toy Story 3. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your artwork, and congratulations on your anniversary!
