OOP 2 —-check!

Posted on Monday 8 October 2007

OOP 2 is done.

Phew.. It’s been quite a battle the past years. We had more artists participating and of course, it it was we had a few drop outs. But all in all, we believe we made a book that is as good as the first OOP. Our publisher Random House editors are very excited about what we submitted. Now it is in their hand for printing and publishing. We are shooting for NY MOCCA festival in May next year. Stay tuned. You would not be disappointed! (hopefully..)

As far as my new life in SF goes, I’m settling down nicely. I started painting outside a lot and there are lots of dedicated plein art artists her in the bay area. I met Michael Dutton who is a talented freelance illustrator. And also there is this hardcore painters group at Pixar. Last week, Robert Kondo, Ernesto Nemesio, Noah Klocek, Bill Cone and myself met up around 6:30 in the morning before work and went painting near the studio. They are all painting geeks like me and all incredible artists. So expect more plein air paintings from me from now on!

It was at the industrial site in Potorelo Hill, SF.

    Hey Dice,

Too bad that we could not talk more at Maverick’s auction. It may be karma or I gravitate to the same taste but I have pieces in my collection with all five artists that you mentioned above including your pieces. All artists have the own unique vision and artistic technique but share the same passion in capturing the moment in time and nature. I am very fortunate that these artist including yourself have made their works available for the public. I may become broke in the wallet but rich with all the artwork in my house.
