Small Plein Air Show This Saturday!

Posted on Monday 29 November 2010

Hello everyone,

I am having a small group show with my talented Pixar colleagues,  Sharon Calahan, Bill Cone. Ernesto Nemesio at a fine frame maker gallery Holton Studio from December 4 – January 8, 2011.

We all do our personal artistic pursuit outside of our Pixar work. Bill, Ernesto, and Sharon are all incredible painters.
All three guys are pursuing serious gallery career and constantly out there painting outdoor.  I feel a little unmatched to be with them but also proud to be asked to join them!

Holton Studio does some amazing handmade wood framing. I got my paintings framed there before and they just do the job right.
All our paintings in this show are hand framed by Tim Holton.

Opening reception
This Saturday, December 4,
from 4–6 p.m.

5510 Doyle Street No. 2
Emeryville, CA 94608
(510) 450-0350

I only have 5 paintings in the show. If you are interested in any of them, come check it out or call the gallery for availability!

I’m glad the show will be up until January 8th. Gives me a chance to stop by while on my way up north for winter vacation. Amazing as always!

    Hi Dice,

I went to the opening yesterday. It is too bad that you could not make it. It was a great group show where each artist brought their own unique perspective. The digital photos of your pieces do not do justice. Seeing the pieces in person, you can see your brush strokes and the power of the piece. You really strive to capture the moment and breath life into the objects that you paint including the light.

Also, thank you for contributing to the CAM Pixar benefit auction especially in your busy schedule. I owe you one.

    Thank you Logan!

I’m sorry if you came to the opening but didn’t see me. I was out sick that night!
    hope you enjoyed the show!

Great to see your name. It’s been a while!
I saw the video Jeremy shot of you painting. What a beautiful painting you did in that video!

    Thanks dado!

Hope you got to see it. It is a small show but did pretty well.

Thanks Charles. And no problem for the charity thing. But it’s always great to hear from you about our shows!

    Thanks Lynn!

hopefully I can answer your questions in time…
