Happy Holidays!

Posted on Monday 24 December 2007

Hope everyone finds themselves well at the end of 2007.
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for our continuing support and friendship.
As most of you know, 2007 was quite a crazy year for me. My father fell ill at the start of the year. That eventually got me to make a difficult decision to leave NYC. I moved back to the Bay Area to join Pixar. Meanwhile, our second OOP comic was due right after I moved into a new environment. The Sketchtravel I started with my super friend Gerald Guerlais suddenly took off as a talk-of-the-internet project.

I wouldn’t have been able to survive this life changing 2007 without everyone’s support and encouragement. I am truly convinced that friendship of artists can be so strong that it can go beyond countries, cultures, and ages.

I am planning something similar to Sketchtravel next year which I have yet to be able to announce. I just love the potential of artists!

I wish everyone very happy holidays!!

The latest freelance piece I did for a calender art. The theme was Time Flies. It’s so true isn’t it? That’s why we should do what we need to do today. There may be no tomorrow..

    A nice, warming piece.

You’re right. Time does fly, and it seems like time flies ever faster each year that goes by. It only seems like yesterday when I first heard of Dice, Mike, and the other early birds. I’ve embraced your kind words in the past, and am thankful for that. I’m happy that you’ve endured this year, hopefully coming out stronger, anyone who reads this… yeah YOU!

Dice, you inspire. *salute* Happy Holidays.

I love this illustration, Dice. For the compo, for the extraordinary use of light and color, and of course for the graphic poetry of it. Hope this new year would be even better for you, and many thanks for being there doing today what you didn´t expect others to do tomorrow.
    Cheers!

Another awesome one. You managed to poetically depict this abstract idea. And I absolutely love the subtle colour grad in the sky. Here’s to a great 2008.
