A Piece for One–ひとつ event on 4/2

Posted on Wednesday 30 March 2011

Artists Help Japan Movement is MORE ACTIVE than ever this coming weekend in San Francisco.  There are 3 events happening that are in support for Artists Help Japan Fund.  It is really amazing how many people in various art communities have come together in just San Francisco alone!

It is ironic to see the situation in Libya.  Within a week since the great nature swept tens of thousands of lives in Japan, humans are still killing each other with man made force.   I’m sure we argue there are all the political and social reasons to justify that.     But it’s just ironic.

Anyways,
Here is the piece I did to express my thought for my country.  This piece will be auctioned at this Saturday’s One –ひとつ event at Super Frog Gallery.  It will be up only one day and it’s up for grabs if you want to contribute to the cause.  The buyers(not the donating artists!) will get the tax deductible donation receipts for every dollar paid for this auction.   If you are in San Francisco, come join us.  It will be a great event.
