As many of you might already know, Sketchcrawl has been a world wide phenomena created by my good buddy Enrico Casarosa.
We all get together on the same day and sketch all day. We upload our sketches on the Sketchtravel Forum the following day and share our experiences across the world!! It all happened in more than 50 cities in more than 20 countries! What an insane idea!! From Tokyo to NYC, London to Madrid, and Berlin to Serbia!! I was at the San Francisco one where more than 60 artists showed up! From amature artists to some professionals… I can imagine there might have been easily over 1000 artists sketching on this day. No kidding!
1000 something artists mostly don’t know each other. But we all share common interests as artists and maybe connecting us shouldn’t be that hard. What an amazing experience. If you haven’t done so, please join us next time.
*****
Imagine, how we can do the same towards global warming, or even eliminating all the wars in the world?
Am I dreaming?
Maybe….but getting 1000 strangers to come out for sketching all on one day sounded like a dreamy idea to me too.

ohhh that colour painting looks nice
Master Dice these are wonderful studies. Is there anything you can’t do very well?
Wow! Beautiful painting and sketches from the sketchcrawl!! Amazing actually!!
Hi Dice! So nice to see you joining Sketch Crawl! I missed it this time cause of a cold, hopefully see you at the next one!
Beautiful painting. I will definitely try to make it out to the next sketchcrawl.
O wow thats great that you did a painting during the sketchcrawl. How long did that take you?
Thanks!
Dice,
What I like about your artistry is that you let the medium speak to the audience. Initially, I felt that your work in goauche lacked the fire and spontaneity of your oils where your mastery extends to the point where the piece can be offbalanced and still work as you capture the moment. (NY Village paintings). I was so wrong. The Chinatown goauche piece is abstraction and palette of color > the green in contrast to the opaque, reflective off-yellow building with blue windows mixed with colors of the people. Wonderful!!!!!
BTW, I had some friends at my house where they had many compliments to your Village painting. Also, currently I am hanging the African head study next to Ronnie Del Carmen (Nude) from the 1st 3 Trees Show. It contrasts very well.

The color is jumping really nice on the painting. I like the range of the greens in light and shadow, the overall read of the shadow areas, the warmth of the store window interiors, and the simple handling of the windows up in the light. A lot to enjoy for the eye, and solid as a rock. Plus, you got one of the few sunny days to paint on in the last few weeks!

perfection my friend…i can only dream of painting like that . the pen sketches are fabulous as well. let’s talk soon before i head out to the Far East.
You definitely are my personal idol!!!
Could you give me a suggestion? is there any about colors and light, which could help me-as well as practice-practice-practice painting and observing everything around me?
“is there any book about…” i meant…
Oh man, both of those are amazing Dice. Fantastic job as usual!
I know I been noising for keep saying this……
