Japan 2009

When I went back to Japan in October ’09 for a few weeks, it felt rather a short trip. Mainly because the main purpose of this trip was my first time(hopefully last) wedding!(gulp..)
I brought my paint but it was really not easy to find the time to sit down and do watercolor. But I carried my sketchbook around all the time and just drew. I have always struggled with “lines” because I always see things in “shapes,” so in a way, it was a good exercise.
It is really funny how much I now am interested in drawing Japanese people. I used to find drawing Japanese people boring. But now, I feel like my eye has gotten matured to see lots of things I used to not see…
